MS-ISAC (Multi-State Information Sharing & Analysis Center)

  • The mission of the MS-ISAC is to improve the overall Cyber Security posture of the nation’s state, local, tribal and territorial governments through focused cyber threat prevention, protection, response, and recovery.

ISAO (Information Sharing Analysis Organizations)

  • Most private sector information sharing is conducted through Information Sharing and Analysis Centers (ISACs). ISACs operate through a sector based model, meaning that organizations within a certain sector (i.e. financial services, energy, aviation, etc.) join together to share information about cyber threats. Although many of these groups are already essential drivers of effective Cyber Security collaboration, some organizations do not fit neatly within an established sector or have unique needs. Those organizations that cannot join an ISAC but have a need for cyber threat information could benefit from membership in an ISAO.

  • InfraGard is a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. It is an association of people who represent businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States.
